Out Sick

Well we have tried all winter to keep our family healthy and germ-free, but it finally found us. Ryan started getting sick last weekend and I sent him to the basement to live:) Well by Tuesday he was so bad I told him to go to insta care to make sure it wasn't something they could treat, on that same day Teagan got his fourth Synagist shot, it tured out he had adult RSV. So that night me and the boys moved out and went to my Mom's for a few nights. It was like a mini va-ca, homemade food, sleeping in, entertainment for the boys, it was nice, we just miss Daddy. Then my Mom went out of town on a trip she had been planing for awhile so we headed to Big G's for the same great hospitality! So low and behold Teagan started coughing in the night and by Thursday he was pulling on his ears, that night me and him got hardly any sleep and his stats were dropping, I almost put him on oxygen. So Friday morning we went to see Dr. Harris. No fever, ears looked fine, so he figures it might be a cold, but not too worried about it turning to RSV, his lungs sounded fine. He told me to watch his stats, use oxygen if needed, watch for labored breathing, all things I normally do. So $15 for peace of mind, I'll take it! He still is coughing, but his stats have been in the 80, where they need to be and we both slept a lot better last night, I pray for another good one tonight. I think a lot of it might be teething, he is getting his two top teeth and maybe those one year molars, I hear the front teeth are the most painful, I don't know. I hate to blame it all on teeth and I know I can't, so we will watch him and pray he gets well soon. Ryan is feeling better so I think we will go home Monday night, but for now I just want to thank everyone for taking us in and making us feel at home: Mom, Dad, Big G, Big Mace, Kori, Cole (maybe not:), & especially Sammie!
On a side note: We send special prayers out to Gracie Gledhill and her family, Gracie Gourley and her family, and all the other special heart kiddos who need extra help right now, may our Heavenly Father wrap his loving arms around them. We love you all.

I'm glad T is doing ok in spite of the coughing. Hopefully it will continue to improve. Glad Ryan is doing better too. I didn't know there was such thing as adult RSV.

It is kinda crazy that you have made it this long without anyone catching anything. I'm glad it sounds like things are on the trail end now.

And just when you start to think it's safe! I'm glad you could out run this one. We are so itchy to get out I am tempted daily to let down our guard. Thanks for reminding me to continue to be paranoid :)!
