Our journey continues today, we begin our day at our home in West Jordan, we got ready and then had prayer in Teagan's room. Then we headed up to Primary Childrens Hospital. We arrived this morning to good news! Teagan's blood oxygen level has raised from low 70's to 79-85! This is a real great improvement. That was followed by news that Dr Kouratis (Teagan's Heart Surgeon) thought that it would be better to wait one more day to close his chest. We were hoping that it would be today, but we trust his judgement and expertise. Teagan has been resting well in his bed, our nurse had to put socks on his hands so he wouldn't pull on his IV's and breathing tubes.
We continue to see miracles everyday. They are so evident here. We meet new families everyday that have thier own miracles. Also we have joined two online support groups hopeforHLHS (yahoo) and IntermountainHealingHearts (yahoo)both have been great to chat with other families and finding strength from them.Hopefully tomorrow Dr. Kouratis will be able to close his chest. That's great that Teagan's blood levels are increasing.
We just found out that some friends of ours in CA have the same thing with their son. He is five now and keeps right up with his other five siblings.
I just read my sis-in-law's comment on the first post and it's the six year old that we know (not five). It's nice to know that Teagan will have a very high quality of life knowing that Tucker does too.
I was so heartbroken to hear about Teagan from Allana. I am glad to hear that he is doing better every day. Our prayers are with your family.

its your long lost friends, George n Ema Maile. Our hearts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. I know how hard it was to leave your baby with total strangers to come home and sleep or go to work. Your son is good hands and he's lucky he has such great parents such as your selves.
