Our Prayers are being Anwsered

SORRY, SORRY, SORRY! I have been trying to post this for days, so if it doesn't make sense you will know why. Today went really well, Teagan did awesome. It was a very early morning. Teagan had a very peaceful night with G-ma Dee, she said it was her best night ever with him. He had his last feed at 1am, then at 3 he has plain breast milk, and finished eating at 5-6am pedilyte. I was worried he would be very unhappy come 7 when it would be time to eat again, but he slept through it all. We checked in at a little before 7 and had a x-ray, we didn't get the results right then, but we found out later that the cylo has not returned. We will have another x-ray in a week to make sure it still has not come back. After x-ray he got weighed (13lbs. and 25.5in. long). Then the IV team came to draw blood and put in an IV for his sedation medicine. I wished them luck, but they told me that they had no problem getting blood, that was a miracle. We took him into the echo room and I held him until he feel asleep. He was a little restless and got the hiccups pretty bad as a side effect of the sedative. When he laid down we left him. We went and visited some of our favorite nurses, Ashlee and Megan and we even ran into Pam Anderson. We also got to visit Gacie for awhile, sounds like she will be going home soon, send some prayers their way, I think going home would do miracles for her. By then it was time to get back to Teagan, he was still out so we sat by his bed and I rubbed his head and as I smelt the hospital blankets it was all to familiar.
He came out of it pretty fast and we tried some pedialyte after he took that they wanted to see him try half a feed, he tolerated them well, so after some monitoring we talked with Dr. Day. He went over the echo and told us his heart function was even better than right after his surgery. The clot was still there, but smaller and not as floppy, so the shots are working and we will continue to give them. The big surprise was they want to do his Glenn later this month to the first of July, we were expecting Aug. or Sept. at the earliest. We thought the better he was the longer we could wait, but Dr. Day sees that he is out growing his shunt and would like to have the surgery while he is strong and healthy, they usually are waiting for these kids to gain weight, but as you can tell Teagan is doing plenty of that. After we talked with Dr. Day we went back upstairs to let Teagan see his girlfriend, Gracie and then we headed home.
So now we just have to watch for the cylo to return, hoping it doesn't and check his sat. level everyday to make sure it doesn't get too low. So our prayers, blessings, and fasting were all answered and we thank our Heavenly Father for that. Sorry it took so long, but no news is good news, usually!

Oh I am so glad you posted an update. I look daily to see how our incredible boy is doing. I am so glad to hear he is gaining weight. What a strength you and your family have been to us. You have allowed us to feel Heavenly Father love so strong. I can't thank you enough. We love you very much and please keep us updated. We have colds right now but when we get healthy we will have Mason over for a play date.

Oh I'm so glad things went well. We will continue to pray for his health as he leads up to his next surgery and that things will go well when that time comes.

Teags is growing like a weed!! These HLHS babies just DON"T grow like Teags... way to go buddy!

It's scary to think that surgery is so soon... but... you'll get it over with and you don't always have that stress on your mind. Teags can then get on to his business of being a "normal" baby!
