Tummy Bug?

We think he got a tummy bug so after lots of poop and some extra puking he is doing a little better. He is down to one liter of oxygen which is more than we would like. Have any of you had this many problems after a cath? We were way not prepared for this, we thought it was going to be a simple thing and it turned in to a very big deal. They found that his shunt was pinched a little bit and felt good about fixing it, but he has only done worse. They felt like he was good enough to come home yesterday, but I haven't seen him this bad since they tried to close his chest the first time, so we are a little upset and are waiting for Dr. Day to get back in town to discuss it all.

Poor little Teags! Hopefully it is just the tunny bug and he'll feel better soon.

After both of Owen's Cath procedures he's needed more O2.. BUT he's also been in the hospital until his sats come back up to norm.

You know Teags more than anyone else... so you know best if he's struggling. The AZ cardiologists don't mess around post norwood I had to take him to the PICU if he even sneezed the wrong way.

I'll pray for Mr. Teags!!

Brinley had alot of trouble with the heart caths as well, Becky would tell you she thinks there almost as bad as open heart surgery. I don't know if I agree but they were pretty bad at times. I sorry to read about your finger, I hope it gets better real soon. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you.

Hugs,
Mike & family

Dan's sats went way down after his first (and so far only) cath. I think they were in the 50s. They came up by the evening though, and then he was in for the Glenn the next day. I'm assuming you're in contact with the cardiologists? Should he be in the hospital for observation? Best wishes! Hope your finger is doing well.

I am sorry to hear that he (thus, all of you) are struggling. You are always in our prayers. I met a woman online at mommyspace.com and she has a Heart baby. I told her that I knew you and little Teagan. She sent me this info about a non-profit organization for kids with Chronic Heart Defects. http://www.itsmyheart.org/

You probably already know about it, but I thought I would send it along, just in case.
